National News: Aam Aadmi Party leader Baltej Pannu has launched a sharp attack on Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) chief Sukhbir Singh Badal, following his press conference after the arrest and raids on senior SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia. According to Pannu, the revelations related to companies linked to Majithia have left Sukhbir visibly anxious. "He is clearly worried that he or his family members might be next," said Pannu.

"Badal's Voice Revealed Panic"

Pannu further stated that Sukhbir Badal’s tone and expressions during Friday’s press interaction clearly displayed nervousness. “This is the typical fear that stems from the looming consequences of one's misdeeds. Those who once believed themselves to be above the law are now unsettled as investigative agencies close in,” he added.

Kotkapura Firing: A Reminder of Past Excesses

Responding to Badal’s criticism that police do not conduct raids early in the morning, Pannu reminded him of the Kotkapura incident. “It was early morning when the police used force against peaceful protestors — unleashing water cannons, tear gas shells, and even lathicharge. Perhaps Sukhbir has forgotten how state power was misused under his watch,” Pannu said.

"25-Year Rule Arrogance Devastated Punjab"

Highlighting what he called the SAD leadership’s past arrogance, Pannu said, “At one point, Sukhbir Badal went so far as to claim that his party would rule for 25 years straight. He conveniently forgot that this is a democracy where elections are held every five years, not according to the whims of any single family.” He added that this unchecked arrogance had caused lasting damage to Punjab.

“This Is Just the Beginning”

Pannu concluded by asserting that the revelations in the Majithia case are only the tip of the iceberg. “Many more links — involving influential leaders and questionable financial dealings — will soon come to light. That is why Sukhbir Badal appears shaken today,” he said.
